BRINGING "FRIDAYS" TO YOUR SCHOOL
"Fridays at the Farm" is available for screenings at colleges and universities, and fits well with a variety of curriculum. Richard Hoffmann has spoken at several colleges, universities, museums, and theaters, and his lectures can be geared toward communications students, art students, agricultural studies departments, and film departments. He is an excellent speaker, and connects with students with his humor, humility, and honesty.
Sustainable food systems and community-supported agriculture are gaining national attention as people seek to create healthier and greener lifestyles for themselves and their communities. The benefits of supporting local agriculture multiply quickly as one looks deeper into the big picture, and Richard can speak first-hand about his own examination and exploration.
Richard is also available for technical workshops. His hands-on approach is a how-to on time-lapse imaging, and explores the original still-film digital imaging technique that he developed for "Fridays at the Farm". A graduate of NYU's Film School, Richard is a perfect guest speaker for any film department, and his workshops are fun, informative, and inspiring. His time-lapse workshops have been featured at Scribe Video Center in Philadelphia, and at several film schools.
