Coyopa Productions is a film production company founded by Richard Power Hoffmann in 1998 and based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Literally translated as “lightning in the blood”, coyopa is a Mayan word that refers to the energy that a shaman harnesses while performing healing work. Similarly, Coyopa Productions creates films that passionately address social ills with a deft touch, sparking viewers to emotionally connect with the subject matter and re-consider their own positions. Masters of creating high film production values with low budgets, Coyopa has delivered over 100 short and long form promotional films, commercials, and independent projects for satisfied clients. 

Launch party for Spring Garden Pictures - Friday December 4th!

Please join us as we celebrate the launch of Spring Garden Pictures by members of Coyopa Productions at our new office location in Philadelphia! We are excited to introduce you to our new space and new venture.  

Spring Garden Pictures is a non-profit organization that produces films that evoke wonder and awe in the natural world and beyond. We'll have great music, tasty drinks, local beers, and light fare. We'll also be featuring the artwork of Peter Kinney as well as our latest film creations and projects in development. The party runs from 5-10 pm, and you can drop in any time! Our location is now at The Wolf Building, 340 N. 12th Street, Suite 312 in downtown Philadelphia.
